I’m Kerry Drumm and I’m a writer for film and theatre – adding to the mix, I occasionally direct and produce. I’ve worked for some fantastic storytellers, including Aardman Animations, Rising Sun Pictures and December Media.

I received a number of nominations, including winning BEST DIRECTOR for my web series Incoming: Words of War. The second season of Incoming: The Wives is due for release early 2023. My play STRAWBERRY is published wth APT and BROTHERS toured nationally and internationally in 2022. My feature script TANKED has a rehearsed script read for invited industry guests, at Backlot Studios, Feb, 2023.
Originally from the North West of England, I’m based in Melbourne drinking fabulous coffee. I’m currently working on Adam Elliot’s stop-motion feature ‘The Memoir of a Snail’ (2022/23).

INCOMING: Words of War, a 6 part web series was selected for SERIESFEST Digital Shorts Competition for its World Premier. The series is my debut as a writer/director and has been screened globally, receiving over 30 festival selections, nominations and wins, including Best Director at the Asia Web Awards and Best Dramedy.
How to Watch Incoming Words of War
The series featured on AACTA Connect and showcased by Blackmagic Design in a recent press release.
The second season Incoming Words of War: The Wives is currently in postproduction with a release early 2023.

Great Barrier Reef, IMAX, narrated by Eric Bana and produced by Emmy and BAFTA-winning studio, December Media is touring internationally.
A trilogy of short films, based on my stage play ‘Strawberry‘ received a successful festival run. Including a world premiere of Half of Me at St Kilda Film Festival. All of Me reached the final at Lorne Film Festival and all three films were officially selected for Sydney World Film Festival and Geelong International Film Festival.
Theatre
BROTHERS had its world premiere at Adelaide Fringe Festival 2022, with several rave ★★★★ 1/2 reviews. The play ran at Edinburgh Fringe with nine shows at the Zoo Playground (5-14 August). Brothers completes its Fringe tour at Melbourne Fringe Festival (Oct 2022). Produced by Little Red Fox Productions, directed by Peter Newling, with brothers Daniel O’Kane and Liam O’Kane attached.

Strawberry is with Australian Plays Transform and had a world premiere season run in 2019, Williamstown Little Theatre, Melbourne. Half of Me, a one-act monologue, was one of six selected for the PlaySix Festival. Be Someone Today, a one-act play, has been selected by Manchester ADP ‘Script Aloud’ (2019) and was shortlisted (reaching top 7%) Supernova 8 Festival of One-Act Plays, Bench Theatre, UK.
Rocket (2019) was selected for Madwomen Monologues, Baggage Productions and one of 20 selected Voices of Women, (2020). Punched (2020) has been selected for Short Works Series, Wyndham Theatre and PlaySix (2020).
